Biography

In 1976, Manfred started his 3 1/2 tertiary education in Ngee Ann polytechnic followed by compulsory service national service in the arm forces for 2 1/2 years.

In 1982, his first career was with a Swedish MNC, Gadelius Pte Ltd in the pump business.

In 1986, he was transferred to the Danish MNC pump manufacturer, Grundfos Pump.

In 1990, he was offered a position by an American company, STA-Rite Corporation (part of Wicor group, listed on NYSE) to set up an office for their South Asia business, looking after Asia and South Asia. And in 1993, he was then offered a career with Ebara Corporation, Japan to help launch new products throughout Asia.

Manfred established DLF Engineering in 1999 as an M&E Services provider, which focused on water system projects due to Mr. Manfred Fan’s extensive work experience in the water pump industry. DLF Holdings Limited was incorporated as an investment holding company to acquire and hold the DLF Group and the ACMES Group in 2017 and DLF Holdings Limited became listed on Catalist of the SGX on 25 July 2018.
